G to 4G Evolution

Everyone seems to be talking about the digital world, digitalisation, digital market and more words that either start with digital or end with digital.  The introduction of 4G in the digital development has brought in an evolutionary change in the mobile industry. When 4G was provided free throughout India, there has been a sudden growth in 4G mobile sales that no one ever thought of.

Initially it was 1G, which is a one way mode of talking, just like a walkie talkie, where one can start talking, only when the other person holdup.  With 2G then came up cellular phone networks, which allowed people to send text messages and picture messages called MMS along with calls. With the arrival of 3G the internet usage has significantly increased. More and more network service providers have opened their markets in India. Their services were bundled with interesting packages to attract the customers.

Introduction of 4G has been game changer. Companies like Reliance promoted the service of 4G network by providing free services throughout the nation. Even cell phone companies were forced to manufacture 4G mobiles phones by slowing down 3G mobile productions. This has drastically increased the sales of mobile phones. The strategy of making people to enjoy high speed network and its importance has worked well and reached a high value in the market. Later on the free services were stopped and companies have come up with monthly package deals.

But after the 4G service came into live, more and more online usages came into process. Main among them is Online Money Transaction through UPI and banking apps. Instant money transaction applications are becoming popular. A simple and relatively safer option of money transfer has been made through the apps. This hasn’t stopped with money transactions only. As transaction and payment of money has become easier, the growth of other online platforms like booking apps for hotel booking, cab booking, food ordering, online tickets booking for train, buses, flights, online shopping, starting with clothes, groceries, food to expensive electronics items, etc., even education have become highly popular and attracted a lot of customers. Thus the development of network has dramatically changed the lifestyle of every single person in India.
